The RISE Mentorship program is a rotational, immersion & skill-building, experience structured to support the transition from academia into clinical practice. Participants will be paired with an experienced mentor, while they practice medicine and manage their own caseload. Participants will move through the program with a nationwide cohort providing an added layer of peer mentorship and the foundation for a professional network. At the conclusion of the program, a one-year contract will be extended for you to continue full-time with continued mentor support
Who is this program for?
- New or Recent veterinary school graduates who are passionate about practicing high quality medicine and learning on the job, while developing new skills and strengths under the guidance of an experienced veterinarian
- Veterinary school graduates who are unsure whether they would prefer to go the ER or GP route
What is the program?
- Full-Time opportunity for you to practice medicine, learn on the job, and have additional support through a structured mentorship
- You will have the option between a 6-month rotational mentorship program (3 months in GP and 3 months in ER), or a 3-month mentorship (either GP or ER)
- Salary: $100,000 plus the opportunity to earn production

Veterinary Referral Associates is looking for a full time, Client Service Department Manager in our busy 24-hour veterinary emergency and specialty hospital in Gaithersburg, MD. This position is full-time with a flexible, swing shift schedule, 5 days a week and does require weekend availability each weekend.
The Client Service Department Manager plays a vital role in the Client Service Department, serving as a receptionist, in our call center, and assisting with appointment scheduling throughout their work week. The Client Service Department Manager will also be the direct supervisor of the department, preparing schedules, approving/denying time off requests, finding/being coverage as needed for the department, ensuring the department is running efficiently, maintaining office supply inventory, and managing issues that arise (with the support of hospital upper management).

The Sports Medicine and Rehab Service at Veterinary Referral Associates (VRA) in Gaithersburg, Maryland, seeks applicants for a three-year traditional residency in canine sports medicine and rehabilitation.
A residency training program in sports medicine and rehabilitation is the joint responsibility of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (the College) and an active diplomate acting as a representative of the College and as a resident program director for the resident. A residency training program is an intense, intimate partnership in learning that can only be accomplished with frequent and regular interactions and communication between a resident program director and their resident.
Requirements:
• DVM/VMD, with successful completion of a rotating internship, and ideally specialty internship
• Ability to have a license to practice veterinary medicine in Maryland

The residency program places a strong emphasis on didactic training (rounds, journal club, book club, rehabilitation rounds), and provides ample support for clinical research and publication. Focus also in the realms of learning fundamental rehabilitation skills, whilst working under the supervision of a Diplomate of the ACVSMR on case management, diagnosis and individual treatment plans. Primary case responsibility is achieved pending performance evaluations. This residency will allow the candidate to complete all the requirements of a traditional ACVSMR (canine) residency in 156 weeks.
