Aimee Kidder, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)
Dr. Aimee Kidder is a Louisiana native who fittingly obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2001 (Geaux Tigers!). She went on to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Purdue University in 2002 and following a year in general practice and emergency medicine in Atlanta, Georgia decided to pursue residency training in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Kansas State University. After a very rewarding ten-year career as an internal medicine specialist, Dr. Kidder stepped into an exciting new role as an emergency veterinarian at Veterinary Referral Associates bringing with her a vast medical knowledge, an effervescent personality, and an enviable sense of humor.
In her time away from the hospital, Aimee enjoys spending time with her husband Oleg and their pack of Pekingese. She channels her creative energy into refinishing furniture, satisfies her desire for adventure by traveling, and sates her appetite by discovering new restaurants in the greater Washington DC area. We are so lucky to have her on our staff.
