Carolyn Chen, DVM
Dr. Carolyn Chen is a Northern California native. She went to UC San Diego for her Bachelor of Science prior to moving next door to Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ for veterinary school. She then completed a rotating internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA, a surgery specialty internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, TX, and a surgical oncology research internship at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Dr. Chen then completed her small animal surgery residency at University of Georgia in Athens, GA prior to joining the team at Veterinary Referral Associates.
Dr. Chen enjoys all aspects of surgery, and finds it most rewarding when she is able to improve a client and patient's quality of life with a surgical procedure.
When not at work, Dr. Chen enjoys baking not-too-sweet desserts and playing video games.
